There are two common approaches to hypnosis: spiritual and naturalistic. It's important that your hypnotherapist's approach matches your belief system or your skepticism will make it hard for you to fully enter deep hypnosis where you begin to see and feel the results you seek. Many therapists are focusing on past life regression, spirit entity release/clearing and channeling. My approach is more scientific. You will be spoken to in a language you; your mind and specific learning style, can fully understand. I focus more on the natural, results oriented, explanation of my work instead of the supernatural. I will not, at any time, use any techniques that cannot be explained in rational, professional terms.

Hypnosis was also used effectively in both WW1, WW2 and the Korean War for pain control. There has been a continuous forward progression throughout history and in 1959 The American Medical Association approved the therapeutic use of Hypnosis.
Hypnosis is typically used to reduce anxiety and control the pain and discomfort associated with labour and delivery as well as postnatal episiotomy pain. Beyond its surgical application, hypnosis is effective in pain management for pain associated with illnesses such as cancer.
